The Indian company National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NEI) established a new pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen plant Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, India, to provide support for the country’s fight against Covid-19.

The plant opened on October 24 and will provide patients in the hospital with an uninterrupted flow of high-purity oxygen. The plant can produce 750 liters of oxygen per minute and can fill 16-170 oxygen cylinders per day.

Earlier this year, NEI donated 100 oxygen generators to the government of Rajasthan and then proceeded with the development of a new factory.

"We want to make sure that we can help declare that the government saves lives in critical situations," said Rohit Saboo, NEI's president and chief executive officer.

"Committed to fighting the pandemic, MEI has institutionalized a method to create a safe environment for its employees and communities."

We cannot lose the momentum of medical oxygen. For many low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), the difficulty of obtaining oxygen is systemic and long-term. This is what Robert Matiru, director of Unitaid's project department, said in an interview with gasworld.

As one of India's leading green and maritime logistics companies, SEROS Logistics has partnered with Shell Energy India (SEI) to provide extensive distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG) across the country.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has delivered its heaviest semi-cryogenic propellant tank ever to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
